These keyboards only seem to work with a certain type of battery. I found the best results with a plain ALKALINE battery.

Hp Wireless Keyboard Problem

I'm specifically using an Energizer, but I would guess most any Alkaline would work. My original battery went dead after 6 months, and I replaced with a rechargeable Nickel-metal hydride (NiMh). My keyboard started behaving sluggish less than 24 hours later. I thought there was no way it was the battery, because these are the batteries that last forever in a digital camera (when Alkaline's get drained in about 1 hour in a digital camera). Canon Pc 1201 Manual.

I tried ever fix possible, even blaming it on a new wireless router I had put in. I changed the router's wireless channels, removed cordless phones, and about everything else.

Finally I put another set of rechargeable batteries in, and everything worked great for about another 24 hours. I then decided to go back to a plain Alkaline battery, and all has been well for over a week now. I'm sure that's not the issue for everyone, but maybe it will help some. So many of the batteries today are made for digital devices, and we had to look specifically for the Alkaline, making sure not to get a NiMh or Lithium Ion battery. These keyboards 'hate'Duracell batteries, use Energizer as previous poster advised. Even when 'connected' to computer per HP owner's manual instructions, we get a standard dose of missing characters, extra spaces and characters out of sequence from when the keystroke was made. I own two IQ models, both have same exact issues, HP has never provided any fix.

These will definately be my last HP computer products due to poor customer service (in many other areas besides this) and just poor products. Unfortunately, these computers were an impulse purchase made with no research. Keygen Php Maker Review.

Does anyone know of any Vista compatible drivers for a 5219URF 2+ wireless keyboard? It's an HP OEM keyboard, part number 5187-5998, bundled with some Media Center PCs. If HP has Vista drivers for it they aren't making them easy to find. At present the keyboard functions as a basic 101-102 key keyboard using generic MS keyboard drivers.

I'm not using the wireless mouse(battery eater) that came with this set but I would like to have the special functions and programmable keys working under Vista if possible. >Does anyone know of any Vista compatible drivers for a 5219URF 2+ wireless >keyboard?
